Projects in the Hopper

I'm still working on my two Carnival of Skirts submissions.  The black faux leather and crepe skirt is still in its holding pattern because I want to figure out the most-attractive way to attach the lining and facing to the zipper closing.

I fixed my construction error on the stone herringbone skirt, attached the lining/facing to the zipper and added double-welt pockets to the skirt front.  All that remains is hemming the skirt and lining.

Last evening, I cut out and began constructing Vogue 1329.

V1329

I'm using a black and white ponte knit I bought from JoAnn's a couple of weeks ago.  I have the dress constructed and invisible zipper sewn in, and I still have to cut out and construct the lining.

My plan is to wear this, along with Vogue 8884, View C, in a lemon yellow poplin on Sunday for Easter.  I have my 3-year old black spring coat already waiting in the wings just in case.

Thanks for reading, and please leave comments.

Be blessed!

    1. Thank you, Faye...I'm really looking forward to wearing it...I just tried it on for fit and my daughter gave it her "Oooo, sexy mama" seal of approval.
