The Suno Floral

Recently, while surfing the internet, I saw a video clip where Lindsey Lohan made an appearance on "The David Letterman Show".  What prompted me to watch the clip was the caption, quoting her saying, "I thought you were going to be nice."

"Hmmm...what did he say?"  So, I watched part of the interview, and while in my opinion it was rather dull and no earth-shattering news shared, I did take notice of the dress she wore on the show.

Fast forward two days later, I'm catching up on my favorite bloggers' postings, and I see Blaire Eadie's Atlantic-Pacific blog post titled "ready for the weekend" where she is wearing the same dress.

So, I followed her link to net-a-porter to see more details about this dress.

It is from the Suno Spring 2013 Ready-to-Wear collection and retails for $695.00.  It's a white/orange/cobalt floral-print from a Silk-Lycra blend fabric, with a cut-out section in the dress front, and racer-back bodice and exposed back zipper.

What I'm beginning to like about this dress is the floral print.  The color combination reads more Autumn than Spring to me so I would love another color choice, but the floral motif itself I like.  I also like the exposed zipper and racer-back cut on the bodice.  I would, however, omit the front cut-out, which would be inappropriate for work.  Also, I would be quite uncomfortable with my belly exposed.

I would love to know your thoughts...please share below.

Be blessed!

  1. Speaking for myself wearing the dress, no belly exposure for me. But then, I am a grand-mother. It's a beautiful dress Aisha, I even like the length. I'm waiting to see your rendition of that Michael Kors dress you showcased a couple of weeks ago.

    1. IKR!! ME TOO!! LOL!!

I'm still "looking" for the yellow wool blend...I really want it to be on par with the inspiration...hoping to get it out before spring is done!

  2. I like the high neckline, exposed zipper & silhouette. I agree with Faye, the cut out is not my personal style but I like the look. With a great print a can see this dress becoming a clasic piece for the closet without the open midriff.

    1. I completely agree with you Toy...the cut out is out...I may add to the closet if I find a print that speaks to me.
